AI and Photo Processing Notice
This notice summarizes how Topia processes photos and AI-generated content. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
01What We Process
When you use avatar generation features, we may process:
- uploaded photos;
- prompts, style selections, and generation settings;
- image safety, quality, and subject-suitability review results;
- generated reference images;
- AI-generated images;
- generated avatars and 3D avatar or 3D files;
- captions and metadata;
- safety signals and moderation results;
- technical data needed to operate the generation flow.
02Why We Process It
We process this information to check whether uploaded photos can be used safely and effectively, generate reference images, generate stylized 3D avatars, display previews, enable AR placement and viewing of published works, moderate content, prevent abuse, provide support, and improve reliability and safety.
03Third-Party AI Providers
We may send information needed for image admission, reference generation, and avatar or 3D asset generation to third-party AI and infrastructure providers, including OpenAI ChatGPT Image, Google Gemini, Tripo, Tencent Hunyuan, AWS cloud infrastructure in us-east-1, and other providers that help operate the Service.
04Training
We do not use your uploaded photos, generated images, avatars, or published works to train our own AI models. We require our service providers to process information only to provide services to us, subject to applicable terms and agreements.
05Public Visibility
Generating an avatar does not necessarily make it public. If you choose to place an avatar as a published work, other registered users may view the work only after they reach the same physical location and successfully view it through AR visual positioning. Your nickname, profile photo, published work caption, display place label, and public like count may also be visible. The published work owner may see which registered users liked the work, including the liker nickname and profile photo in notifications.
06Deletion
You may delete avatars or published works where the feature is available. Deleting a published work removes it from public visibility and begins deletion or de-association of related placement content, caption, screenshots, previews, and AR/spatial records, but it does not delete the avatar used in that work or related source photos and generated assets. Deleting an avatar begins deletion or de-association of the avatar and related uploaded photos, generated images, and generated avatar or 3D files, but it does not automatically delete published works already created with that avatar. If you delete your account in the app, the account is deleted immediately from the active account system, and some public content or AR/spatial data may be cleaned up asynchronously.
07No Misuse
Do not use the Service to create or publish content that violates another person's rights, impersonates another person, harasses or bullies others, sexualizes a real person without consent, or violates our Community and UGC Policy.
